Scunci Look of the Week

21 Mar

With the 2012 Olympic Games approaching faster than Ian Thorpe’s 200m sprint, the team at Scunci have been thinking about sport hair styles.

Oh yes, gone are the days when it was accepted to throw your hair in a ponytail and slap on half a tub of gel to keep your hair in place; the trends are proving that sports stars are taking a little extra time when it comes to their hair, hitting the competition with cleverly crafted styles.

This week’s inspiration for the Scunci Look of the Week is Tatiana Grigorieva, Australian star pole vaulter who rocks the twisted ponytail! Not only does Tatiana deal with gravity and up-side-down positions, but she has to be wary of messing up her do on landing… not exactly the easiest thing to do when you’re dropping seven metres from the sky.

No Slip Grip bobby pins allow her to keep the hair-line back twists in place, gathering more hair through the back of the ponytail making it thicker and easier to secure. A hair tie that proves not to move, like the Scunci Evolution hair bands, ensures that extra control and reduces most movement with the hair – ideal for all sport stars!

The Scunci Evolution hair ties are made with a patented melted plastic, grabbing the hair with full force and finding an extreme hold. They come in a pack of 14 and retail for $8.95 a pack.

I love the no slip grip on these pony tail holders. I also love that they dont pull my hair out and are really comfortable. Ive used them for a very long time.
